The ISMF-LGC World Championships Long Distance Team 2022/23 are officially confirmed

 

Lausanne, 11 March 2023 – Jointly with the Local Organising Committee, the ISMF is glad to confirm the ISMF-LGC World Championships Long Distance Team, 8th Adamello Ski Raid, which will be held on 25 March 2023 in Pontedilegno-Tonale, Italy.

 

Technical information

Registration fee:

Team (2 pax): 400,00 €. The registration fee includes:

  • Organisation, safety and technical assistance services during the event
  • Competition pack (starter gift)
  • Refreshment along the race track and at the arrival
  • Lunch on the race day.

Accommodation is not included.

 

Participation requirements:

  • Compulsory ISMF licence
  • Compulsory LGC Card: 30,00 €/athlete – athletes holding it from the past two seasons have not to renew it, since it is still valid for the 2022/23 season.

Teams’ composition:

  • Teams have to consist of athletes of the same nationality and gender

  • Deadline: 20 March 2023

 

Quotas (as per 22/23 ISMF Regulation regarding Registration and Participation in ISMF competitions – point 2 and related subparagraphs):

  • 4 teams Senior M
  • 4 teams Senior W
  • Bonus granted by the ISMF-LGC WCH LDT of last year is for France for both M and W.

  • Most important appointments:
  • Opening Ceremony (Friday 24/03 – h. 17:00): the participation is highly recommended for all delegations with all athletes
  • Team Captain Meeting – Technical Briefing (Friday 24/03 – h. 18:00): the participation of at least one coach or one athlete or one representative person of each participating nation is highly recommended
  • Award Ceremony (Saturday 25/03 – h. 16:00): the presence in person of the athletes who will be awarded is compulsory.

About the ISMF

Founded in 2007, the International Ski Mountaineering Federation ISMF is the global governing body for ski mountaineering competitions. Since 2016, the organization is officially recognized by the International Olympic Committee IOC. Its main goals are the promotion, regulation and development of the ski mountaineering sport worldwide. Based in Lausanne, Switzerland, the ISMF’s membership consists of 45 national mountaineering or ski sports federations in Europe, Asia, Oceania and the Americas.
