ISMF SKIMO SUPPLIERS – UPDATES ON INNOVATIONS AND TECHNICAL DEVELOPMENTS

It is no news for you that our sport of Ski Mountaineering is becoming more and more popular, on the competitive level as well as on the recreational level. Pushing the development in both areas and in particular on the technical side, are the ISMF Skimo Suppliers ATK BINDINGS and SCARPA that joined our new program this season. In this ISMF newsletter we provide the stage to our first two ISMF Skimo Suppliers to let them inform about the latest developments within their companies, new products and innovations.

ATK BINDINGS – Meet the winning Revolution of the 21/22 season

The ongoing ISMF Tournament has been full of spectacular moments, most of them characterised by one special detail…
The biggest challenge manufactures had to tackle last year was the introduction of the ski brake system in all competitions. Of these devices, only one has perfectly interpreted the new standards and needs of athletes.

Passion and technology brought to life Revolution Brake World Cup, the latest Bindings by ATK: designed with extreme precision, providing a high level of performance and selected by the best athletes in the world. These ski brakes weigh just 120 gr, feature four patented systems, a revolutionary design and incredible functionality even in the harshest of conditions.
All of this was made possible thanks the new Revolution Brake, even while climbing the highest mountain tops and ascending the rankings of the toughest competitions.

ATK Race athletes are literally flying on top of all World Cup rankings, achieving the top 10 positions in each stage of the current season.
The results speak for themselves: 22 gold medals, 9 silver medals and 14 bronze medals totaled up to now.
The skills of a team consisting of 44 athletes, combined with the lightest and most performing system ever, are the perfect match.

What makes these bindings truly unique is the completely automatic system activated by the heel riser. Ski Brake Race is an essential and easy to use feature, with functional design even when skis are still packed: the risers are designed and built to allow smooth and easy stow-away.
From the next season ATK will be launching an extensive range featuring the ski brake system: 6 new colorful, super-light and sturdy models. One for all tastes and weights.

Last but not least, the introduction of the new R17 adjustment plate that will allow to use the same ski with different types of boots.
Same features of the R01 plate, but compatible with the brand new range of racing models equipped with ski brakes.

Ready to experience a great season finale in Flaine and exciting news coming up in the next one…

SCARPA Green Manifesto – Watch now!

SCARPA is a world-leading Italian manufacturer of footwear for mountain and outdoor activities. SCARPA’s leading position has become consolidated over time, particularly in the fields of ski mountaineering and telemark, followed by climbing, hiking and trail running. But that’s not all. With models like the iconic Mojito, SCARPA embarked on a new course of urban outdoors: comfortable footwear that’s suitable for any occasion, but which doesn’t hide its adventurous spirit. And it is this very desire to be outside, have adventures and explore that distinguishes the soul of SCARPA products. Extremely technical, superb quality footwear, designed in collaboration with top professional athletes, but also suitable for simple enthusiasts.

The company’s work is actually characterised by a strong commitment to innovation: every year SCARPA lodges 4 European patent applications and invests almost 5% of its revenue in research and development.
