Racing himself many years for pleasure, he wanted to organise his own Davos Race in the perfect region of Grisons. Daniel and his colleagues started with the first edition in 2008, successfully holding the Swiss Championships in 2010/2016. As referee, he participated in 2012 at the ISMF course in Zermatt. Since then he was allowed to work for the ISMF during many big events helping the local organising committees with technical briefings suited to their needs. The Lausanne 2020 Youth Olympic Games were, despite of the immense preparation work, the biggest highlight so far. He joined in 2018 the ISMF Technical Group.
