The ISMF World Cup stage of Marmotta Trophy is officially confirmed

The ISMF in collaboration with its Italian member federation Federazione Italiana Sport Invernali and the Local Organising Committee of the Marmotta Trophy is pleased to confirm the realisation of the World Cup stage to be held in Martell, Italy. The event will include a Sprint race on Saturday 20 and an Individual race on Sunday 21 February 2021.

The event will take place except for cases of force majeure not depending on the International Federation.

Marco Mosso, the ISMF Vice-President Marketing & Communication, affirms: “Another race weekend has just concluded and, personally, I am glad that each time the ISMF has been confirming all the events. We absolutely know that the season we are facing is rather challenging and demanding, but the ISMF is proving that with commitment, willpower and support from international referees as well as from the various organising committees it is possible to create high-level events. I believe that the Marmotta Trophy stage can be an excellent springboard for the skimo athletes to get prepared for the ISMF World Championship to be held at the beginning of March in Andorra”.

Precise information regarding accommodation and COVID-19 measures will follow in the very near future.

 

Technical information:

Accommodation & meals:

The accommodation will be in different hotels located in Val Martello.

As regards the meals, it will be necessary to follow a precise Covid protocol, which will require that meals will be always taken at the hotel respecting specific times that will be assigned to everyone to avoid participants from mixing.

To book your accommodation & meals, please get in contact with the Tourist Office Laces-Val Martello (info@latsch.it – +39 0473 623109) no later than Friday 12 February 2021.

NOTE: It is possible to book the accommodation only through the Tourist Office Laces-Val Martello. They will assign the teams to different hotels situated in Val Martello in order to guarantee all the necessary measures to reduce the Covid-19 risk for all the people present.

For the accommodation there will be two different categories:

Category A: 95,00 € per person and full board accommodation

Category B: 80,00 € per person and full board accommodation

 

Registrations:

In accordance with the timekeeping company, the registration for the ISMF World Cup in Val Martello will be opened from tomorrow afternoon, 4 February 2021 and will close on Monday, 15 February 2021 at 24:00 (midnight). After that date, registrations will be no longer possible.

Before registering in any ISMF World Cup or World Championships, athletes must have their own valid ISMF licence. You can check the current valid licences here.

COVID-19 & Italy:

According to the current situation in Italy and considering the last decree of the Italian Government regarding the Province of Bozen-Bolzano, every participant in the ISMF World Cup in Val Martello must do a compulsory PCR test. Therefore, the antigen test will not be considered valid. We kindly remind you that, in this particular case,the test must be done no more than 48 hours before entering Italy.

 

Tests on site:

Before the event:

Every participant in the World Cup in Val Martello (included coaches and staff members) will do a supplementary & compulsory antigen test in the Covid-19 Testcentre (located in the National Park visitor centre CulturaMartell in the leisure centre Trattla – Trattla 246, 39020 Val Martello (BZ)) offered by the Local Organising Committee in collaboration with the South Tyrolean Sanitary Company. After the negative result of the test people shall collect the own accreditation at the Accreditation Office (located at the Kletterhalle Martell in the leisure centre Trattla – next to the Covid-19 Testcentre).

Opening dates and timetables of the Covid-19 Testcentre (also present in the programme section on the event’s website):

  • Wednesday 17.02.2021: from 15.00 to 17.00
  • Thursday 18.02.2021: from 14.00 to 17.00
  • Friday 19.02.2021: from 16.00 to 19.00

If someone will arrive outside of the aforementioned timetables, in order to get the accreditation and to do the onsite Covid-19 test, please refer to Mr. Lukas Innerhofer at the following phone number: +39 3316723912.

 

To return the home country:

The LOC would like to let know that there will be the possibility to do a Covid-19 test on site to come back to the home country.

Both antigen and PCR tests are available:

  • Antigen: cost 58,00 €
  • PCR: cost 138,00 €

The tests must be booked no later than Wednesday 10 February 2021 by sending the complete list with personal information of the people (name, surname, address, postcode, town, country, phone number, email address, date of departure and chosen kind of test to be performed) at covid@marmotta-trophy.it.
