Lausanne, 8 November 2023 – The International Ski Mountaineering Federation Council met in Paris on October 12th, 2023, ahead of the Plenary Assembly that took place at the French capital. The meeting was planned to prepare for the Assembly and review the Calendar and rules update for the 23/24 season.
The first point in the agenda was to review and approve the minutes of the previous session of the Council.
The Council approved to add the North American Championships to the 2023/24 calendar, as well as the inclusion of two Series in Azerbaijan and Turkey for this season.
It was also approved the Transitory Rules for the European Championships, the Rules for the Olympic Games and some pending topics on the General Rules for the 2023/24 season, with all the documents planned to be reviewed and explained to all National Federations in the Workshop taking place before the Plenary Assembly.
During the Council meeting, the Council members reviewed and discussed the final Workshop agenda as well as the procedures, presented by the Electoral Task Force, of elections and declarations to be signed by the candidates.
