SkiMo Stats & ISMF to collaborate in the field of Social Media

Media Information

Lausanne/Mondovì, 5 November 2020. Starting with the 2020/21 race season, the ISMF will collaborate with the online platform SkiMo Stats to manage the federation’s social media activities on Facebook and Instagram. The aim is to strengthen the ISMF’s Social Media presence and profile regarding quality and reach.

SkiMo Stats’ will focus on the promotion of all ISMF events before, during and after the season by providing exciting stories, news and background information on athletes, race teams and venues. This will ensure a more consistent social media communication of the ISMF generating additional value for the relevant stakeholders, in particular for the sponsors and the local race organizers. Marco Mosso, the ISMF’s Vice-President Marketing & Communication says: “We are very happy of having won these young and creative sports colleagues to join forces with us. The partnership will pay off for everyone around the ski mountaineering and will increase the visibility as well as the profile of our great sport.”

Based in Slovakia and well known in the sports community, Skimo Stats is run by three young ski mountaineering enthusiasts. It labels itself as the “vox populi” of ski mountaineering, having refined its online content in recent years related to the sport, its athletes and race disciplines.

Three members of SkiMo Stats staff will be present at all the events of the ISMF World Cup and the World Championship, in order to provide professional media content to the main audience of the ISMF and its local race organizers.

The activities of Skimo Stats will be coordinated efficiently with Infront, the ISMF’s existing media rights and advertising partner as well as with all local race organizers.
