ISMF Ski Mountaineering European Championships are confirmed from 22nd to 25th February
In case of adverse weather conditions races will be hosted in Piano Provenzana
The Local Organising Committee under the lead of Vasco Agen, technically supported by Stefano Mottini, decided to confirm the smooth conduct of the European Championship races scheduled from 22nd to 25th February in Nicolosi (Catania).
We remind also that the European Championships will be the first qualification event for the 2020 Lausanne Youth Olympic Games.
«There isn’t so much snow on the Etna right now -states Vasco Agen– but we are confident. Anyhow we have prepared other routes and tracks on the North slope of the volcano at Piano Provenzana, where we can assure better conditions and snow».

First National teams are expected to arrive in Nicolosi on 20th February.
All athletes and technical staff will train on the volcano waiting for the official opening ceremony.
The National teams parade is on 21st in the afternoon in Nicolosi. The next day the Skimo White Circus will face with an exciting Sprint race while the Vertical race is scheduled for 23rd. The event ends 24th with the Individual race.
In case of cancellation the races will be retrieved on Sunday 25th.
