Death of Patrick Baumann, IOC Member and President of the Lausanne 2020 Youth Olympic Games Organising Committee

With great sorrow, the ISMF has received the sad news of the sudden and premature death of Mr. Patrick Baumann. He was only 51.

The Skimo family wants to remember Patrick as a great fellow, a man who dedicated the majority of his life to the sport as an athlete and coach, as well as a professional manager in many fields and a friend. We will never forget the help he gave to our sport by allowing us to enter the programme of the 2020 Lausanne Youth Olympic Games.

We join our thoughts to those of the whole sport family and we send all our sincere condolences to Patrick’s family.
