The WÜRTH MODYF ISMF European Championships are officially confirmed

 

Lausanne, 27 January 2022 – Jointly with the Local Organising Committee of Boí Taüll, Spain, the ISMF is glad to confirm the race event named Skimo Boí Taüll ISMF European Championships 2022, to be held from 9 to 13 February 2022.

 

The detailed programme of the event, which will take place except for cases of force majeure not depending on the International Federation, is available on the event website.

 

Technical information:

Registrations & quotas:

The ISMF would like to inform that the registration of athletes in the ISMF European Championships to be held in Boí Taüll, Spain, will open tomorrow, Tuesday 1 February, and will close on Monday 7 February 2022 at 23:59 CET. After that date, registrations will be no longer possible. In this regard, we kindly remind you the link where you can register the athletes: http://www.ismf-ski.org/webpages/competitions/register-to-ismf-races/. Before registering in any ISMF World Cup or Championships, athletes must have their own valid ISMF licence. Current valid licences can be checked here. In case of any issue in the online registration process do not hesitate to get in contact with the ISMF Office by clicking on “help” in any page during the registration procedure or at office@ismf-ski.org – mob. +39 3923566064.

The ISMF kindly reminds that for the European Championships there is a maximum quota of participants for each category (Men & Women) for each race (21/22 ISMF Regulation regarding Registration and Participation in ISMF competitions – point 2 and related subparagraphs). However, you can find the quotas summarised as follows:

  • Individual, Sprint and Vertical races:

Senior: 4 M and 4 W

U23: 3 M and 3 W (total of 7 seniors M and 7 seniors W)

U20: 4 M and 4 W

U18: 4 M and 4 W

  • Relay race (Mixed Relay):

Youth Mixed Relay 2 teams

Senior Mixed Relay 2 teams

In relation to quotas, the ISMF points out that there will be the bonus of an additional registration for each gold medal in the last European Championships (2018 – Nicolosi, Sicily, Italy) in the same category of pertinence.

Furthermore, as per 21/22 ISMF Regulation regarding Registration and Participation in ISMF competitions – point 2 and related subparagraphs, the ISMF informs that for the European Championships the national federation has to make a global registration before the event. Afterwards, coaches can modify the registrations as follows:

THE DAY BEFORE EACH RACE

  • The day before each race, from 12:00 to 13:00: possibility to register additional athletes at the race office (penalty of 100% depending on the category – amount to be paid in € in cash).
  • The day before each race, from 12:00 to 13:00 possibility to replace athletes at the race office (already registered in the European Championships) for free. A new bib will be given to the new athlete(s).
  • If a competition is ongoing at the above-mentioned time, the ISMF office will inform the coaches about a new timing. The WhatsApp group named “ISMF Competitions” will be used as channel of communication. Therefore, at least one coach/athlete representative of each team participating in the EUCH must be present in this group.

THE DAY OF THE RACE

  • The day of the race, until ONE hour before the start of the competition: possibility to replace athletes (already registered in the Championships) in the finish area (timekeeping centre) for free. A new bib will be given to the new athlete(s).

MIXED RELAY COMPOSITION

  • Mixed Relay: the composition of the teams taking part in the scheduled Mixed Relay has to be communicated to the ISMF office through WhatsApp no more than Saturday 12 February 2022 at 16:00. As per ISMF regulation (O.R. p. 26), the composition of the teams for the Mixed Relay has to be as follows:
  • Youth à 2 competitors: 1 U20M or 1U18M and 1U20W or U18W – Order to be followed: W-M-W-M
  • Senior à 2 competitors: 1SM-1SW – Order to be followed: W-M-W-M

Covid-19 & ISMF:

The ISMF calls to mind that the scheduled races will be held in full compliance with the anti-Covid measures and that each person involved in the event will have the obligation to strictly follow the ISMF Covid-19 guidelines available here.

As usual, the ISMF provides everybody with a letter of movements to cross the border lines, in case of necessity.

Furthermore, the ISMF kindly asks for a great cooperation from all teams to fill in the Excel document sent to you in relation to the request of the following information (please pay attention as there are two different sheets to fill in inside the file):

  • Accommodation of the teams, including arrival and departure dates, hotel/apartment of overnight staying, name/surname/role of each person present at the competition venue;
  • National Team Covid-19 Coordinator with name/surname and contacts.

This document has to be sent back to the ISMF Office (office2@ismf-ski.org) no later than Thursday 3 February 2022.

 

Covid-19 & LOC/Spain:

Validity of the Covid-19 antigen test in Spain: 48 hours

Validity of the Covid-19 RT-PCR test in Spain: 72 hours

As usual, people have to perform a Covid-19 test within the given deadline before the accreditation for the European Championships. Please consider that the ISMF Covid-19 guidelines are more restrictive than the Spanish government’s requirements, so people have to take into consideration the ISMF protocol in relation to the period of validity of the Covid-19 tests and in order to get the accreditation.

THEREFORE, THE PERIODS OF VALIDITY TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THE EUROPEAN CHAMPIONSHIPS ARE:

Covid-19 antigen test: 24 hours

Covid-19 RT-PCR test: 48 hours

 

The ISMF, in collaboration with the organising committee of the European Championships, would like to send everybody the following information:

Price of Antigen Test: 2,94 €
Price of Antigen Test + Certificate: 10,00 € (the certificate only indicates the positivity or the negativity and does not include QR Codes)
Price of RT-PCR Test: 93,00 €
